Gérard Pélisson, the co-founder of Accor, has passed away at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness. Pélisson, along with his business partner Paul Dubrule, transformed Accor into the sixth largest hotel chain in the world, with a portfolio of 5,400 hotels in 100 countries and a pipeline of 1,247 hotels.
