After tasting the 21 cocktails that made the shortlist, Australia’s Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador Corina Retter has revealed the final four bartenders to reach the last stage of the competition.

The four finalists are: Jake Down of Sydney’s Apollonia; Jessica Favaro of Adelaide’s Bar Torino; Lachlan Bentley of Melbourne’s Gimlet at Cavendish House and Pauric Kennedy of Sydney’s Barangaroo House.

The final takes place on 4 April where the finalists will showcase their cocktails and explain the inspiration behind them before guests enjoy them with dinner.

204 bartenders from across Australia entered the Stir Creativity Cocktail Competition this year, where they were asked to craft a cocktail inspired by the world around them.

Bartenders had to showcase either Bombay Sapphire, Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru, Bombay Citron Pressé, Bombay Bramble or Bombay Sapphire Sunset in their creations.

Australia’s Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador Corina Retter then travelled to taste the cocktails of 21 bartenders who made the shortlist, before announcing the final four this week.

Down’s cocktail is called the Symphony of Sapphire made with Bombay Sapphire; Favaro’s is the Sauce Day using Bombay Sapphire Sunset; Bentley’s is the Yuzu Alberto with Bombay Sapphire and Kennedy’s is The Allegory with Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru.

The winner will be announced on 4 April, with the winner taking home the trophy along with $3000 prize money, a pin of their winning cocktail and a trip to London to visit the Bombay Sapphire Laverstoke Mill.
