The Maybe Cocktail Festival is back for 2024 hosting a jam-packed program of events across six days from 9-14 April.

The festival is set to welcome more than 30 international bartenders across nine of Public Hospitality’s Sydney venues including Maybe Sammy, El Primo Sanchez, Busby’s, Dean & Nancy on 22, and more.

There will be 21 events across the program which will see bartenders from some of the world’s much-loved watering holes bring their creations to Aussie shores.

Some of the international bars and bartenders set to star include Mexico City’s Handshake Speakeasy; New York’s Dante; Dubai’s Buddha-Bar; Shanghai’s Speak Low and Sober; Tokyo’s The SG Club; and Edinburgh’s Panda & Sons.

Closer to home, Melbourne’s Caretaker’s Cottage and Byrdi and Sydney’s Re- will be hosting events as part of the festival.

“Last year we held 16 events and they were all packed so this year we’ve curated extra events and flown out even more international bars and bartenders,” says Maybe Cocktail Festival Director and Public Hospitality Director Stefano Catino.

“19 of the 21 events are free to attend which is very important to us. The cost of living is high and it’s very expensive for Australians to travel overseas so this festival will give people the opportunity to drink cocktails from an amazing bar in Rome or try a Tommy’s Margarita from the gentleman who created it, without the cost of a plane ticket.”

It’s the second iteration of The Maybe Cocktail Festival which launched last year, with Hospitality speaking to The Maybe Group’s Martin Hudak about the planning of the first festival of its kind here in Australia.

The Maybe Cocktail Festival will run from 9-14 April with the full program set for release in March.
